Message of Condolences from Advocates for Dignity (AFD) for the Recent Tragedy in Israel and Gaza
Sydney- October 7, 2023 — In light of the devastating incidents in Israel and Gaza, Advocates for Dignity (AFD) extends its deepest condolences and mourns the tragic loss of innocent lives from both sides.
AFD stands unwaveringly against terrorism, unprovoked attacks on civilians, and actions that tarnish the inherent value of human life.
Our hearts ache for the Israeli and Palestinian families grappling with the sudden and unbearable loss of their loved ones.
We assert that irrespective of the provocations or reasoning behind them, actions that deliberately target non-combatants or lead to disproportionate civilian casualties due to excessive force cannot be justified.
AFD appeals to the international community, notably the United Nations, in these trying times to rally together. We urge a unified approach to mitigate the ongoing tensions and work tirelessly to find long-term solutions to the deep-seated conflicts plaguing this region.
With unwavering commitment, we continue to hope, pray, and advocate for peace and stability in Israel, Palestine, and all corners of the world.
